Dr. Parnell starts his new book From Schoolhouse to Courthouse by saying “[T]hey are using secret, ideological techniques to destroy our dominance in the world…  to introduce a “New Terror” in our land”.

Wow! By ‘they’ he means groups like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and the National Education Association (NEA), among others, to subvert and undermine the youth in the public school system -- because they will be the leaders of tomorrow. Strong words I know, but after reading his book, I am convinced that that state of the ultra-liberal indoctrination that our children are getting is much worse than I had previously thought.

So just what are the false philosophies that our children are now being taught? According to Dr. Parnell, they include atheistic humanism, socialism, communism, Marxism and New Age Beliefs. These beliefs systems have no room for the traditional values and Judeo-Christians precepts that have served America well for over 200 years.

Dr. Parnell provides many quotes by our Founding Fathers that seem to go against what our children are now being taught in public schools today, namely that our nation was founded on solid Christian principles. This is very important, because if our children are not being taught where we came from, then how can we know where we are headed?

Dr. Parnell quotes former Supreme Court Associate Justice David Brewer who said “In no other way can this republic become a world power in the noblest sense of the word than by putting into her life and the lives of her citizens the spirit and principles of the great Founder of Christianity.” He also sites Earl Taylor who said “And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion…  reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail to the exclusion of religious principle”.  But if the ACLU and NEA has its way, our children will be taught that our Founding Fathers were weak and almost evil men, worthy of little or no regard today.

Because of the amount of time that teachers spend with children throughout the day, teachers cannot but help to instill a moral compass in the children under their care; but which direction will that internal compass point to? As the book correctly points out, without the correct Christian moral compass to guide their way, our children will be raised to think that everything is relative, that good and evil are only apprehended in the eyes of the individual. There is therefore, no accountability. We are all free agents, answering to no one.

Dr. Parnell points out that these liberal groups want to “replace the Ten Commandments with perverted sex, abortion, birth control, suicide, euthanasia, and divorce.” Basically he says this is all done through “values clarification”, which is covertly redefining the accepted values as traditionally taught in the 200 years prior to our generation.  This is accomplished by demeaning the time honored Judeo-Christian values of our parents and grandparents. It portrays our Founding fathers as idiots.

So what, is “free speech” an outdated and idiotic concept? Of course not!

Is “freedom of the press” way too foolish nowadays? No!

Is the “right to bear arms” to be undermined? May it never be!

Is the prohibition against ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ and the restriction against the unreasonable seizure of your property, now to become a byword?  Not in my lifetime if I have anything to say about it. What say you?

In the mind of the deluded Liberal, “Situational ethics” would replace the moral absolutes forever enshrined in Christianity. A New World Order would ensue that our children become the misguided leaders, for better or for likely for the worse, of tomorrow. You might think that amounts to “conspiracy theory”, but Dr. Parnell backs up his claims with plenty of solid evidence and references.

He devotes, and appropriately so, an entire chapter to the NEA.  John Dewey, arguably the father of modern education, was also a lifetime member of the NEA. Some of his anti-God teachings, as restated by Dr. Parnell are:

·          Man evolved by chance.

·          Man created god.

·          Man is his own [sole] authority.

·          There are no absolutes.

·          All men should be exposed to diverse, realistic viewpoints – including profanity, immorality and perversion.

·          Any form of sexual expression is acceptable.

Are these the moral tenets that you want your children to embrace?  Even a secularist can see the danger here. Without regard for any immutable and moralistic absolutes, and without certain established moral boundaries, a society simply cannot attain to the virtuous. We will never rise above the inherent limits imposed on us by the politically correct mandate of not “offending” others, which is one of the main goals of the secularists. Dr. Parnell and I are of like mind here. We stand to lose all in this regard.

Part of the NEA’s agenda as exposed in “From Courthouse to Schoolhouse” includes euthanasia. But consider this: when we’re old and nearly helpless, to be saying that we are no longer profitable enough to society (and the whole Terri Schiavo fiasco pointed this out), that we should be quietly disposed of by the State so that we are no longer a “burden” on the more profitable ones, is nothing short of wrong, and we must call it for what it is -- evil.

God alone gives and God alone taketh away.

Dr. Parnell also correctly points out that “one of [the NEA’s] main objectives [is] the promotion of a gay-lesbian sexual orientation.” Is this what we want?  Do we really want our children, the leaders of tomorrow, to be so pro-homosexual?  For the first time in recorded history, we have actually considered placing the most the unnatural of human sexual acts above the most holy and established rubric of natural marriage. One man, one woman; even if they cannot produce children because of some physical problem, etc., they can in principle, procreate. The result of this act is the continuation of the human race.  A man with a man, or a woman with a woman, cannot continue the blood line. That is a fact we cannot ignore. They cannot produce children that will ensure the continuation of the human race.  Adoption is not an issue here, for God in His enduring wisdom has designed a male-female connection that even in the worst of circumstances, both societal and environmental, will still produce offspring under the most trying of circumstances.

Let’s now go to the extreme for the sake of argument.  Let pretend that all the males in the human race would be somehow be rendered entirely homosexual to the complete exclusion of any sexual relations with females whatsoever. What would be the state of the human race in a couple of generations?  We would be totally nonexistent. We would be not even a memory in the minds of the cockroaches and animals that remained.  Can you now begin to see the ridiculous fallacy of the arguments that the gays and the NEA espouse and are feverishly working overtime to get your children to believe?

It flies against all reason and logic, and the NEA actually expects your sons and daughters to believe these wicked and pernicious precepts. Reject them!  Demand that you are provided with your children’s educational materials. Insist that your educators do not advance the homosexual agenda. Home-school your kids. Their agenda is the greatest danger that we as a nation have ever faced -- the destruction of America from within. It is nothing less than the complete rejection of all that has sustained and held us together so far.

I could go on and on about what Dr. Parnell’s book so correctly points out. But time and space limit me. I willingly endorse this book and think that you will be greatly enlightened and inspired by it.

If you care about your children and the future of America; if you do not want this country to be taken over by liberal homosexuals, secularists, humanists and God-haters, then spend a few bucks and read this book. Absorb it. Take the simple actions it asks you to do. Get involved. Be an American and let the Voice of We the People -- your voice -- be heard. Protect your kids and the youth who will soon become the leaders of tomorrow.

Americans are known for what some call “rebellion”. Granted, but then there are times when healthy dissent and rebellion is needed and even called for.  Now is such a time.

Dr. Parnell does not merely give out good information and then leave you hanging. He presents a number of concrete and effective things that you can do to reverse the gains that the anti-family liberals have made.  All is not lost. The avenues Dr. Parnell provides will enable you in short order to put a hold on any more progress to distance your children from the core values and beliefs that you desperately want your children to embrace.

I wholeheartedly endorse this book -- for your and your children’s sake, and for the future of America as we once knew it and will yet to be.

Let me say one final thing.  For some reason, authors have been sending me many books to review. I try to read all of them and render an honest opinion; and that is not always easy. However, let me say that this book is one of the most compelling books I have recently read. I urge you to read it and take the simple and effective actions it suggests. Do so for your sake. Do so for your children’s sake, and finally for America’s sake.

What say ye?

God bless!

P.S. Dr. Parnell has provided numerous references at the end of each chapter because some of the assertions might seem so strong that the readers will want to check them out for themselves, as I have done.

In March of 2007, he was chosen Star Teacher for the Year for Griffin Christian High School in Griffin, Georgia.
